Twelve years ago, Tommi Formella, at the time a 17-year-old German, decided to spend a year as a foreign exchange student in America. He was posted at United South Central High School in Wells, MN, and decided to try cross country and track, and that is how he met Mr. Klein, who was 18 at the time. Today, Mr. Klein sits down with his old friend and teammate to reminisce on ridiculous high school track memories, discuss differences between high school athletics in Germany and America, and talk about the pandemic's impact in Germany.

THE SHOWIn the spring of 2020, we lost the entirety of our season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In an attempt to provide our athletes with some semblance of the track family that our kids get each day at practice while they were stuck at home in lockdown, the staff recorded, produced, and aired 40 episodes of Let's Talk About Track, a show where Mr. Klein would sit down with St. Charles alumni, fellow St. Charles coaches, rival Minnesota coaches, old teammates, and more, all for the simple purpose of talking track.
